Sounds very interesting, I've never heard of that ministry.

There is a pastor that was apart of the American Indian Fellowship (I think)...I know him as Pastor Cree (wonder if it's the same guy). He Pastored in Taholah (quinault rez) for a while (?).

So are you still teaching?

It's acutally 12 different bands/tribes. Yes the Nez Perce of Chief Josephs band are apart of the Colville Reservation. My lineage is of the San Poil, Entiat, Nespelem, and Wenatchi, so I'm not of Chief Joseph's band.

So it sounds like your ministry is similar to Richard Twiss, have you heard of him? He incorporates the Native Traditions, he wrote the book One Church Many Tribes, it's a good book. Also one of my favorites is Bruchko, by Bruce Olsen sharing of his experience with a South American tribe and how his persectives were challenged - one of my favorite books.

I just joined this website group and am excited to interact with other people that are asking similar questions and seeking for Gods guidance in these times that we face.

I'm also an enrolled tribal member of the Colville Confederated Tribes in Wa state. I have a burden for the American tribes and am grateful to know others that share this...

Thank you. I get notes daily from people who are suicidal, their kids are on meth, the government came in and took something and there is no way for them to express it or fight back, and then we send missionaries in to tell them that the only way they can accept Christ's ways is to denounce the advice of the grandparents they have been told to accept. The ministerial programs are failing. Three univerisities that did offer them have failed out including Duke and D'buque. They feel abandoned because they are. It is such a hopeless feeling on reservations right now, and nothing is done except for congress to push for casinos and legislators to take a lot of money from the people for pushing these. It is a daily heartbreaking situation.
