I'm a mystical, evangelistic Anabaptist with an attraction to eco-feminism whose trying to be a vegetarian with the goal of becoming a vegan. I'm also toying with the idea of embracing my inner-nerd and becoming a theologian. I like to sing, dance, climb, hike, do yoga, smile, laugh, take random pictures of myself for entertainment, dwell in discomfort, roam, drink coffee at coffee shops, make friends with other people's pets, cook dinner once a week, find ways to make sure I give someone a mischievous look every day, and lose myself in whatever art project I've picked for the night...among other things.
What are the creative examples that give you hope?
My friends at Philadelphia Praise Center...urban gardens and farms...diverse churches...Herm Weaver...Gilberto Flores...Blaine Detwiler...New Monstic communities...the exsistence of my job
What are your most pressing concerns about the world and the church?
Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." My concern: What are we doing to address and prevent injustices so that we protect justice everywhere?
What is your favorite way to celebrate?
A really good meal with people who have nothing else to do but celebrate and enjoy each others' company.
Give us one word of hope.
