About Me:: i love Jesus like never before. i'm a single mom of 3 and i love them most, next to Jesus. my interest are nature, walking, gardening (first time ever!) community garden, natural highs, being barefoot, hammocks, rainbows, people living their passions, reading Jesus for President (today), creating and embracing those i love and being fearless with those i don't know... i go to church on saturday night at mercy street and ecclesia on sunday (in houston) i love both communities...

What are the creative examples that give you hope?: wearing my "cutting ties for Jesus" bracelet, living intentional in small groups - community gardens - giving my homeless friends flowers

What are your most pressing concerns about the world and the church?: those who do not had clean water or medicine - church judgement and no unconditional love

What is your favorite way to celebrate?: have dinner with the gladdings and listen to music

At 8:14am on May 9, 2008, Barbara said…: I don't want to finish reading it either! Their writing, the way they articulate their thoughts, is so clear and...in-your-face, but it makes so much sense! I love the way they bring in so much history and cultural context. It sets the scriptures in a whole new light.
In some ways it's made me feel more alone -- mostly because most of the people in my church/family setting would probably disagree.

My next reads are going to be The 12 Marks of a New Monasticism and Henri Nouwen's Reaching Out....New Conspirators after that!!
