Lenten Journey
"I love this!" said someone who worked on adapting A Lenten Journey by Christine Sine for our ecumenical Lenten series in Edmonds WA - between Edmonds Lutheran Church, Bethel Lutheran Church (Shoreline) and Saint Alban's Episcopal Church (Edmonds).... it provided a good framework for us; something new.
Howard Anderson (Cathedral College of Preachers) told a story about coming into a new congregation as pastor and trying out new things - someone would say, 'but we've never done it that way before' and a senior member of the congregation would respond, "So what? Let's give it a try!" Talk about a pillar of the church - that is still growing.....
This was a new thing for us - went pretty well - and really got us thinking. Thanks
